The Studio

Jomac is an active gallery space located in St Pete Beach, Florida. Jomac owner and artist John McCaskill’s work explores the themes, visual motifs and graphic textures of the beloved traditions of indigenous art and tribal designs. He uniquely combines traditional techniques of printmaking and relief printing with a visual dynamic that is rooted in contemporary art and updated themes. Creating intriguing layers of patterns, designs, colors, and textures that evoke dynamic moods and lyrical meaning.

Jomac’s clientele includes art galleries, interior designers, property developers, fine art collectors, luxury homeowners, and tribal art enthusiasts.

John McCaskill

The Artist

John McCaskill is a multiple award-winning artist, printmaker, design consultant, and art instructor. His portfolio spans five decades and a variety of industries and applications, and he has shown frequently both domestically and internationally. He studied at UC Berkeley and the San Francisco Art Institute and worked with some of the most prominent illustrators, designers, and artists in the Bay Area, including Michael Vanderbyl, Michael Schwab and Rodger Roundy. McCaskill’s works have been purchased by the Honolulu Mayor’s Office, the State of Hawaii, and by private collectors worldwide.

He has exhibited his work at many galleries, art fairs and festivals in Hawaii and around the world. His work has been featured at the Fairmont Orchid Resort, Volcano Art Center, and the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.

McCaskill was a printmaking instructor at the Honolulu Museum of Art School, the president of the Honolulu Printmakers, a member of the California Society of Printmakers, and a founding member of the Pacific Island Printmakers.
